Purpose of this Club:

To make a positive difference in both the local and global community through service projects, fundraisers, etc. Many group members attend “We Day” in the fall to kick off our year of service projects.

 

TECH GIRLS CLUB

 

Day and Time: Eight Tuesdays, April and May, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Staff Sponsor: Ms. Cho & Ms. MacConnell

Purpose of this Club:

Open to girls in all grades (you don't have to be a tech student or in Ms Cho's class). Wearable tech, virtual reality (e.g. 3D painting), robots (play or build), electronics kits, any new tech Ms Cho finds during the year. On off-weeks, you can go to the library to explore even more fun tech with Ms MacConnell.

 

KIWANIS KEY CLUB

Purpose of this Club:

Students sign up for and participate in community events such as volunteering at soup kitchens, FVRL reading buddies, etc.

PHILOSOPHY CLUB

ANIME CLUB

Anime appreciation.  We watch, discuss and draw anime/manga

 

 

HOMEWORK CLUB

We create the school newspaper.

 

 

MAKER CLUB

Learn about and create different objects using the material and tech in the maker space. 

 

 

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB

Discuss writing and learn about and practice writing techniques.

 

 

GAMES CLUB

Purpose of this Club: Having fun and playing games - we have X-Box, PS3, Retro NES, Wii, computers, foosball, and board games.

 

 

GSA (GENDER SEXUALITY ALLIANCE)

Purpose of this Club: To support all people, regardless of their age, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. Our values are: NO JUDGEMENT, EQUALITY, EMPATHY, AND CARING of all people. We want to end bullying, discrimination and hateful language. Our goal is to create a culture at GW Graham that celebrates diversity, compassion, and positive change in the community.

 

 

JUNIOR ROBOTICS CLUB

Purpose of this Club:

Students have the opportunity to work in groups with VEX IQ robotics systems, designing and programming robots to complete numerous tasks. This is for any age student who is not in Mrs. Cho's robotics classes. Group is limited to 15 students currently.

 

 

SKILLS CLUB

Purpose of this Club:

Skills club is for students from grades 8-10 who want to design and build either/or gravity race cars, or tethers sumo robots with a chance to compete in Skills Canada Competitions this coming spring.
