Welcome to the exciting world of Television Production and Broadcasting! This grade 9-12 course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts, skills, and techniques essential for working in the television industry. Whether you aspire to be a filmmaker, journalist, television host, or behind-the-scenes technician, this course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the real-world television production process.
This course is ideally suited to self-starting students with the ability to work collaboratively as a team. Previous filming and editing skills will be an asset.
Students will be expected to take part in live stream events around the school such as the Principal’s Reception, awards night, and be involved in community-based productions, such as events at Mt Slesse, Stit:os or even our local elementary schools.
Each month, the students will create and present a magazine-style news show highlighting news and events from around the school which will be presented to the entire school.
