About the Assessment
The Literacy Assessment is a provincial assessment that assesses student proficiency in literacy. It is a graduation requirement, and students take the assessments in their Grade 10 and 12 years.

November 4th
Literacy 10
•Grade 10 students in an English 10 course this semester (not Humanities), Graham X 10, or AP Seminar (in grade 10)
•Session 1 (AM): 8:30 – 11:30, small gym, last names A-L
•Session 2 (PM): 12:00 – 3:00, small gym, last names M-Z
November 5th
Literacy 12
•Grade 12 students in EFP 12, ES 12, or in an English course online this semester
•Session 1 (AM): 8:30 – 11:30, small gym, last names A-K
•Session 2 (PM): 12:00 – 3:00, small gym, last names L-Z
November 7th
Grade 11/12 Make-up Assessments
•Student schedules to be posted
On the day of your Assessment
•Bring your student ID
•Show up 10 minutes before your assessment is scheduled to begin
•You will have 2 hours to write plus up to 1 additional hour
•Cell phones, smart watches, notes and other electronic devices are not permitted
•You can request scrap paper to write on — any paper used during the exam must be left at the station to be shredded
•Log in following the instructions that will be given on the day then wait
•Following the instructions, students will be directed begin the assessment
•When you have completed your assessment, be sure to click submit—the assessment will be complete and you will no longer be able to change your responses
