Take Action Day 2026 Recap
Each year, the students of GW Graham Secondary volunteer for activities in six different categories - animal welfare, environmental cleanup, working with senior citizens, mentoring children, working for a cause, and community appreciation. There are no marks attached to their volunteer work.
Did you know, for our 16th annual Take Action Day, GWG students...
- raised about $8,500 for Chilliwack Hospital, Canuck Place Children's Hospice & Ronald McDonald House
- crocheted/knitted hats for newborns at Chilliwack Hospital's Maternity Ward
- sewed pillowcases for pediatric patients at BC Children's Hospital
- mentored over 500 elementary and middle school students in various activities
- baked cookies for first responders
- created care packages for various organizations
- spread kindness to members of the public
- met with senior citizens in various activities for learning and for support
- cleaned up various locations for the public to enjoy
