Getting Started


Getting the most current and up to date information is important in the award journey you are undertaking.  Be sure to check often for information on awards! Check out our new user friendly Careers website at, or follow is on Instagram at gwg careers for the latest and most up-to-date information. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy of the website and the information, it remains the student's responsibility to confirm the information.

Students and parents are invited to attend a Financial Opportunities session on Monday, October 28th at 6 pm in the library.  Directly after, UBC will be presenting information on life and learning at UBC.  All parents and their students are invited to attend!


Students should attend at least one of these informative lunch time workshops for explanation of the award process:

  • Meetings for the Internal Awards will take place in the Library during Advisory on November 13 & 14, 2019
  • Meetings for the External Awards will take place in the Library during Advisory on December 9, 11, & 13, 2019

INTERNAL AWARDS: due by the end of lunch on Tuesday, February 11, 2020

EXTERNAL & SPECIFIC AWARDS:  due  by the end of lunch on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.


Here's How to Get Started:

1. Open the relevant PDF files found on the “Internal Awards” or “External Awards” submenu.

2. Copy or print details of Awards for which you are eligible.

3. Listen to the Daily announcements, check the TV monitors, read the bi-weekly career corner newsletter, following the Instagram account @gwg_careers, and take note of new and deleted awards.

4. Attend Brittany Palmer's Unlock Your Future, the Key to Scholarships presentation on Sept 19th.  She will be the keynote speaker to kick off our Choose BC day.  As well, attend at least 2 Award workshops, one "Internal" and  one"External".

5.  Create a scholarship resume (see PDF examples below).

6.  Make a list of those you will ask for a letter or reference. Be sure to select those from in school and those who are out in the community. Speak to those you want to write you a letter, giving them lots of time to craft an outstanding finished product.

7. Applying for financial awards takes a great deal of time and effort and requires you to assemble an application package of excellent quality.

9. Seek out help if your unsure. Come by Student Services, we are here to guide you.

School Supply List for the 2020-21 School Year

The items listed below are considered the basic equipment for students coming to G. W. Graham.

It is intended as a guide and students may find that additional supplies may be required based on the courses they are enrolled in.

Teacher will be communicating these lists at the beginning of the 2020-21 school year.

Packages of lined paper (600 sheets total,.as a minimum)

3 packages of dividers (5 dividers in each package)

Summer Learning Registration opens June 8, 2020

With the current COVID-19 situation, the Chilliwack School District is pleased to be offering a modified Summer Learning Session focusing on grades 10 - 12.

REGISTRATION for Summer Learning is online and opens at 7am, Monday June 8, 2020.
